How long does it take to move?
The door to door moving process depends on your origin and your destination countries. The packing of your furniture can take our Team from several hours or even days depending on the volume of your shipment and transit times will be determined by the final destination.
What should I do if my move date changes?
Once you become aware that your move date has been changed, please inform us of the revised details. Kindly be aware that prices can be subject to variations because of the new period.
How do I prepare my home and myself for the moving day?
Our Team will pack and catalog all your belongings, so the important things you have to do are to decide exactly what you need to keep separate for your travel luggage, what items are required to be shipped and what items (if any) you might wish to donate to charity. Then you can sit back and relax.
What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?
We advise that you keep your valuable items with you during your travel. We also
recommend that you subscribe to our Marine/Air insurance cover as protection against any damage or loss to your possessions during transport.
If I decide to take out Insurance Cover how much will the premium be and what documents should I provide?
If you decide to take out cover that provides for All Risks Insurance, we will supply you with an Insurance Proposal document on which you should list all your possessions and their estimated depreciated value. The insurance premium is 3.5% of the total insured value. For example, if your Insurance Proposal Form totals USD$10,000, then the insurance charge will be $350.
What type of packing/unpacking services do you offer?
Our services include the packing and the unpacking of your furniture. Our Team and /or Overseas Agents will do their utmost to ensure that your possessions will be professionally packed for marine/air transport, thus ensuring their safe arrival at destination. What happens if your packers damage an item during the moving?
In the unlikely event that our Team damages an item during the packing or unpacking, we will arrange to have it quickly repaired. If it is not repairable, an expert will estimate the price of your damaged item and we will reimburse you.
Are there any items that you cannot move?
When we conduct a survey we document the items you advise will be shipped. This allows us to provide you an exact quotation and ensure our Team arrives with the correct packing materials. Please advise us if you want to add additional items to this inventory list, so we can make the necessary adjustments to your quotation and our packing procedures. We will liaise with our Overseas Agents about items that should not be imported or are subjected to Customs duties. For instance, it is forbidden to bring a wine cellar in the United Arab Emirates.
Can you store my belongings prior to shipment?
We have a state-of-the-art warehouse that allows us to keep your belongings in the short or the long term. Our modern warehouse is located near the port, maintains 24-hour-security with a surface area of 1,200 sqm. We offer you one month free storage.
Which documents do I need for customs in Vietnam?
The documents that are required are:
– Copy of your passport
– Copy of your temporary residence card
– Copy of your work permit (for all sea, and air shipment over 300 kgs gross)
– Application of export permit
– Letter of authorization
– Confirmation letter
– Custom Declaration card (arrival/ departure card)
– Your current address and the new residence
When should I pay the packers?
You do not need to pay the packers. Regarding the payment, we will ask you the payment in full (100 %) prior the packing and the collection of your furniture.
